Have you ever wondered

...Every age has a discovery or invention that comes to symbolise the progress that humanity has made during that phase of history. From the invention of the wheel, the discovery of penicillin, the steam engine to putting a man on the moon. As we approach the millennium it seems reasonable to ask what the great breakthrough for the 1990's has been. Perhaps the computer, mobile phone or the internet come to mind. I would suggest that these and other tremendous breakthroughs, worthy as they might be, pale into insignificance when compared to the miracle of our age the tea bag. To take in the full enormity of this marvel of modern day picture the first time you used a teabag to make a cup of tea. Forget for a moment the quality of the contents and just focus on the feeling of satisfaction gained from making a brew without the necessity for loose tea leaves and a strainer. Very satisfying. Now consider the developments within this ingenious product. Are they not the very mirror of our human desire for always wanting more. You know the situation, just when you are feeling contented with your brewing arrangements, you discover your neighbour has got foil wrapped tea bags. What can you do but upgrade to foil wrapped your self, but it doesnt end there. Then just when you think you are future proof along comes round teabags, increased perforations and then the MMX of the tea world pyramid bags. By this time it is too late you are hooked and on the tea trolley of life and unable to stop.
